The Contractor of M-11 Project (Sections 7 & 8) has commenced preassembly and installation of structural steel of superstructures for the bridge over Izhora River near Voyskorovo Village (Tosnensky District, Leningrad Region).
The bridge over Izhora River is located at km 663 of the Highway. This bridge will be the longest one at Sections 7 & 8 of M-11 Highway. Separate spans will be constructed for each traffic direction. The bridge length is 541.5 m, the width of each span - 29.5 m.
The installation will be arranged till November, 2017. About 4 000 tons of structural steel are to be installed. Cast-in-situ slab will be arranged step-by-step after installation of the steel.
Over 2000 tons of structural steel have been supplied to the construction site as of today. About 300 tons of superstructures have been preassembled and are ready to be installed. The installation will be carried out in several stages with the use of temporary piers. Superstructure blocks are preassembled in parallel with the structural steel installation works.
Piling works and arrangement of pile caps and pier columns are also in progress.
