The drawing contest “My parents are builders!” is taking place in Saint Petersburg at the initiative of the Union of Construction Associations and Organizations and is dedicated to celebration of the Builder’s Day. The contest has been held each year for five years in a row. The ceremony of the winners’ awarding was held on 26 July in the historical park called “Russia is my history”. Authors of the best drawings were awarded with prizes, gifts and were given a tour of the museum exhibition.
This year, more than three hundred drawings created by children of St. Petersburg construction companies’ employees were participating in the contest. Damir Denisov (7 y.o.), Varvara Medvedeva (12 y.o.), Lita Nesterova (7 y.o.) and Masha Filatova (9 y.o.) participated on behalf of “Two Capitals Highway”. The demanding judges awarded the victory in “Construction machinery expert” nomination to Varvara Medvedev. Varvara was presented with gifts and a certificate of award issued by the Union of Construction Associations and Organizations. Varvara’s parents received invitations to a gala concert dedicated to the Builder’s Day to be held on 9 August in the Ice Palace.
