In case you accidentally approach M-11 Highway from St. Petersburg not planning to use the toll highway, you can exit M-11 Highway by passing forward for about 11 km, until you reach a ramp to Kolpino (leaving further to M-10 Highway, or to Sofiyskaya Street), paying just 50 rubles in cash, or 40 rubles with your transponder (if you pass on weekdays; while during the nighttime, you have to pay just 20 rubles in cash, or 16 rubles with a transponder).
Making a U-turn past the toll plaza is a violation of traffic rules, which entails an accident risk, as well as the necessity to pay RUR 1,080 rubles for Highway passage.
