Completion of works on installation of the superstructure reinforced concrete beams of 86 meter long overpass above Vitebsky Avenue at km 676 of Moscow - St. Petersburg M-11 Highway.
Installation of 54 pieces of 24- and 33 meter long reinforced concrete beams which constitute the superstructure was performed stage-by-stage. Traffic at Vitebsky Avenue from Peterburgskoye Highway to Pushkinskaya Street was temporary limited during the installation of the central span beams of the overpass. The traffic was limited at night time, from 17 to 26 July this year. During that period, 33 meter long beams were installed over the carriageway of Vitebsky Avenue: 3 beams per night. Currently, grouting of the superstructure beams is in progress.
The 86 meter long overpass above Vitebsky Avenue is one of 14 overpasses located on the main route of Section 8 of M-11 Highway (km 646 - km 684 of the Highway). 34.2 kilometer long Highway section will run through Tosnensky District of Leningrad Region close to Yam-Izhora and Voyskorovo residential areas. In Saint Petersburg, the Highway will run through Moskovsky and Pushkinsky Districts.
