In 2016, the Contractor of Sections 7 & 8 of Moscow – St. Petersburg M-11 Highway restored about 34 km of Novgorod Region public roads involved in implementation of the Project.
The restoration was carried out under the agreement concluded in May 2016 between “Russian Highways” State Company, “Two Capitals Highway” LLC, the Contractor, the Department of Transport and Road Facilities of Novgorod Region and Novgorodavtodor Regional Government Agency .
Following the agreement, the Contractor (Italian-Turkish company ICA) undertakes to monitor technical condition of the roads involved in construction works of Sections 7 & 8 of M-11 Highway and maintain them in standard condition during the period of Construction. The total length of Novgorod Region roads involved in the construction works is 144.35 km.
In 2016, the contractor repaired Gruzino – Berezeevo, Selo Gora – Nekokhovo, Spasskaya Polist – Paporotno- Aleksandrovskoe roads.
Activity on maintaining the regional roads used for construction of Section 7 & 8 of M-11 Highway in standard condition will continue up to putting the Facility into operation.
