WORKS ON PIERS CONSTRUCTION ARE COMPLETED AT THE RAMP OVER PULKOVSKOYE HIGHWAY OF M-11 HIGHWAY AND SAINT PETERSBURG RING ROAD INTERCHANGE

The works on construction of foundations and pier columns have been completed at the ramp over Pulkovskoye Highway of M-11 Highway and the Ring Road interchange. Now structural steel of the overpass superstructure for the future ramp is in delivery process. Installation of the structural steel (total weight is 667 tons) is scheduled for beginning of April 2017. The works will not lead to any traffic limitation on Pulkovskoye Highway. 


The traffic interchange of M-11 Highway and the Ring Road in Moskovsky District of Saint Petersburg is located in a close vicinity to the interchange with Pulkovskoye Highway.  The interchange will provide a traffic link with all districts of the City through the Ring Road and the WHSD (the Western High-Speed Diameter). The interchange includes 5 ramps: two ramps over the railway, two ramps over the Ring Road, the ramp over Pulkovskoye Highway.  Total length of the ramps is 4.59 km.


Ramps of the interchange intersect many existing utility lines, including the main gas pipeline and two railway tracks of Oktyabskaya Railway of Warsaw direction.  Five ramps are constructed simultaneously, without any vehicle or railway traffic limitation.  Today, twenty four piers (thirty in total) of the overpass for the future interchange are being constructed.  Total weight of structural steel of the overpass superstructure will exceed 2000 tons.
