ICA Construction, the contractor for construction of Sections 7 and 8 of Moscow -
St. Petersburg M-11 Highway, GKU Lenavtodor and “Russian Highways” State Company signed an agreement on repair of regional roads of Leningrad Region involved in implementation of the Project. The roads of Tosno District are involved the most. ICA Construction will carry out selective repair of road surface at 9 regional roads with total length of 110 km.
In the course of repair, the old layer of asphalt will be removed, road shoulders will be reinforced, sand and gravel surfacing will be arranged, on the top of which a new asphalt concrete layer will be paved. The first phase of works will be finished by 10 August, the second phase - by 15 September.
The repair of the regional roads is performed in the framework of an agreement concluded between the grantor of the Project (“Russian Highways” State Company), the concessionaire (“Two Capitals Highway” LLC), the contractor (ICA Construction), and the Road Committee of Leningrad Region (GKU Lenavtodor).
Pursuant to the agreement, ICA Construction shall perform monitoring of technical condition of public roads involved in the construction of M-11 Highway and maintain their standard condition in the course of construction. In total, 106 kilometers of regional roads in Leningrad Region are involved in the Construction.
ICA Construction has previously invested a considerable amount of money, not included in the construction budget for Sections 7 and 8 of M-11 Highway, into repair of regional roads. At the end of year 2016, the contractor repaired more than 47 000 m2 of roads. The repair is currently ongoing at Pogi - Novolisino, Pavlovo-Mga-Luban-Oredezh-Luga, Apraksin Bor - Trubnikov Bor roads, at the approach road to Fedorovskoye Village, and Approach No. 8073.
